Our objectives are to:
We do this by:
Scunthorpe Tomorrow was established by Rob Allen and Tyrone Curran in June 2023 to provide a forum for people from Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire – current residents and those now living elsewhere – who want to connect and be part of a conversation about the future of our community.
We have been inspired by and seek to learn from other places that have successfully mobilised similar networks, including Grimsby and Stoke-on-Trent, while recognising what is different and special about our area.
We have identified supporting young people as a particular focus.
While we have some fantastic education assets locally – including John Leggott College, North Lindsey College and University Campus North Lincolnshire – levels of skills attainment in Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire are behind the regional and national averages, and skills retention is also an issue.*
We believe that creating more opportunities for young people locally can benefit our community as a whole.

We are open to everyone with a connection to Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire. Our members attend in a personal capacity and bring different backgrounds, experience and skills but share a common love for our area and belief in its future.
Scunthorpe Tomorrow is entirely volunteer-led and is facilitated by Rob Allen and Tyrone Curran, supported by a small working group.
"I was born and raised in Scunthorpe. I've been really lucky to enjoy a successful career as an actor, producer, entrepreneur and now as a co-owner of Scunthorpe United.
I'd love to see more young people from Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire in the creative industries - Scunthorpe Tomorrow is helping me partner with other like-minded people to use my experience for the benefit of our town.”
